The Alpena County Horsemen's Club is a group of people with a common
yet diverse interest in horses and related activities. Member's
interests include horse showing (at local, state and national levels),
training, breeding, trail riding, horse camping, and driving. The
Alpena County Horsemen's Club is all about enjoying the time with our horses. We provide
the opportunity to network with other horse owners with shared interests.
Our Meetings
We currently meet the second Tuesday of the month at Trinity Episcopal
Church, 124 E. Washington Avenue at 7:30 P.M. Once the days get longer
and the weather nicer, we may meet at member’s farms and/or
ranches.
What We Do
We sponsor local horse shows, a mounted search and rescue group, training
clinics, and other educational opportunities, including a youth horse-related
scholarship. The Club organizes trail rides and horse camping trips.
Other family events include cook-outs and hay rides. We conclude the
year's activities with our famous Christmas party and gift exchange.
